Tagung „Nachhaltige Kulturpolitik – demokratiebildend, global und generationengerecht?“
Im April 2021 brachte der portugiesische EU-Ratsvorsitz die Porto Santo Charter auf den Weg. Die Charter soll die öffentliche Kultur- und Bildungspolitik erneuern und steht im Einklang mit dem Europäischen Aktionsplan für Demokratie. Als Leitfaden gibt sie Empfehlungen, um funktionierende Paradigmen für kulturelle Demokratie in Europa zu entwickeln und umzusetzen. Ziel ist es, den Kultursektor bei der Stärkung der Demokratie und der demokratischen Kultur zu fördern. In fünf Kapitel befasst sich die Charter mit unterschiedlichen Themen von Kultur, Demokratie und Bildung.
Die Porto Santo Charter enthält mehr als 40 Empfehlungen, die sich an europäische Entscheidungsträger*innen auf allen Ebenen, an Kultur- und Bildungsorganisationen und an Bürger*innen richten. Diese rufen dazu auf, Verantwortung für die gemeinsame Kulturlandschaft zu übernehmen.
Die Tagung lädt Multiplikator*innen aus der nationalen Kulturpolitik dazu ein, gemeinsam über Perspektiven einer nachhaltigen Kulturpolitik zu diskutieren. Hierzu sind europäische Expert*innen eingeladen, die die Porto Santo Charter vorstellen sowie neue kulturpolitische Wege zur Umsetzung einzelner Aspekte der Porto Santa Charter.
Die Referent*innen präsentieren neue Umsetzungsstrategien zu Generationengerechtigkeit, inklusiven Perspektiven, zur Einbindung digitaler Techniken und zu globalen Perspektiven im kulturellen Erbe und der Kulturellen Bildung. Die Tagung richtet sich, an nationale Multiplikator*innen und Entscheidungsträger*innen des Kulturbereichs. Die Teilnahme an der Tagung erfolgt auf Einladung. Einzelne Beiträge werden digital bzw. als Rundfunkbeitrag übertragen.
